Group raises power
of attorney topic
The importance of naming a
Power of Attorney was one of the
issues raised at the Nov. 3 meeting
of the Happy Citizens' Clubs
regular monthly meeting on Thurs-
day, Nov. 3 held at The Legion.
The meeting opened by all sing-
ing O'Canada with Mildred Traviss
accompanying on the piano. They
then repeated The Senior's Prayer
in unison. Betty Hulley gave a very
appropriate reading written by a
Seaforth student, Tanya Brown,
entitled 'We must remember'. The
minutes of the last meeting were
read. Ida Diehl moved and Betty
Hulley seconded that they be
adopted as read. The Treasurer gave
her report. Ariel Wood moved, and
Marjorie Rock seconded, that they
be adopted as read. Ariel Wood
also gave an appropriate reading
pertaining to Nov. 11. Marjorie
Rock Volunteered to lay a wreath
on the cenotaph, donated by The
Happy Citizen's Club. Helen
McKenzie brought to everyone's
attention how important it is to
have a Power of Attorney appointed
to look after an individual's affairs
if we become unable to do so.
Euchre followed with a good
attendance. Prizes were won as
follows: Ladies' High - Marg Hart;
Lone hands - Velma Preszcator;
Low - Helen McKenzie. Men's
high - Betty Hulley (playing as a
man); Lone hands - Ken Preszcator;
