Hensall Legion auxiliary sends delegates
The Hensall Legion Ladies' Aux-
iliary meeting was held September
6 in the Legion Hall. President Iva
Reid was in the chair. The Auxili-
ary Charter was draped and a mem-
orial service was held in memory of
the late Alice Ncilands.
It was decided to send two del-
egates to the Auxiliary Convention
in Windsor. The sports officer gave
a report on sports, it was decided to
send one team to the bowling tour-
nament in Seaforth. A discussion
was held and plans were made to
cater to the Veteran's Banquet in

appointed for the upcoming year.
Lunch was served by the committee
in charge.
At Carmel Presbyterian Church,
Rev. Mark Gaskin conducted the
dedication of two flags for the
sanctuary, this past Sunday. The
Canadian and the Presbyterian
Burning Bush flags were the gifts
of the Moir family in memory of
Olive and George Moir.
Rev. Mark announced that on
October 2 communion service will
be held. Dorothy Taylor was the
organist for the service. The Pres-
byterian Church women are
reminded to save their used stamps
for the Bible Society.
At Hensall United Church Roy
Gilroy exchanged puipits with Rev.
Henry Annen, who conducted the
service at Brucefield. The finance
committee served lunch after the
