Car buffs will strut their stuff
Close to 800 antique cars
and trucks may participate
in the ninth annual Bean
Meet held during the Zurich
Bean Festival August 27.

Bean Meet '94 promises to be
bi er and better than ever.
Quickly becoming the
largest antique auto show in
Ontario, the bean meet starts
Friday night with a cruise.
Any car owner wishing to go
on the cruise should meet at
6 p.m. at the Zurich ball dia-
mond. The cruise begins at 7
p.m. to Bayfield and back to
Zurich. (Last year, the cruise
took in Dashwood and
Grand Bend).
Afterward, a fireworks dis-
play will be held, sponsored
by the Wrenchbenders,
Zurich Bean Festival and
Zurich and Area Fire
Department. Music will be
supplied by disc jockey Ken
Chaplin at the pavilion.
On Saturday, registration
for the Bean Meet begins at 8
a.m. to be able to process the
anticipated numbers.
An exciting aerobatic dis-
play will be presented by
local pilot Terry Stuart
between 1 and 2 p.m.
The ever -popular engine
blow starts at 4 p.m.
The Bean Festival hosts one of Ontario's largest antique car shows.
Approximately 800 autos are expected this year.
Young and old get a little nostalgic when they visit the Zurich Bean
Festival car meet for a look at the antique cars. Cars and trucks conjure
images of drive-in burger shops and rollerskating waitresses.
