Stephanie Lentz models the gown wom by Amber MacNeil for her
marriage to James Verdoni at St. George's Roman Catholic Church,
London, on May 16, 1981. The gown features a taffeta underskirt
with white chiffon overlay. The bodice and cuffs of the long tapered
sleeves are lace trimmed with pearls. A pearl and lace headdress
holds her fingertip veil. The wedding party included seven
bridesmaids in pale yellow chiffon gowns and a flower girl. The men
in the wedding party wore brown tuxedos. The wedding was held up
I?riefly because the groom suddenly realized he had left his dress
shoes in his apartment - and was wearing his running shoes. This
was one of approximately 30 gowns modelled or displayed at the
fashion show held at the Huron County Museum fast July. It was
organized by the Friends of the Museum and the museum staff.
