When the Petite division of the
Seaforth Tournament was bumped
to a "AA" classification, the
Seaforth Sizzlers knew it would be
a great warm-up for the Prelimi-

had defeated earlier in the season.
London opened The scoring but the
Sizzlers tied it up when Jeanette
Crowley and Jessica Finlayson
worked the ring up to Kim
Deveraux who scored. London
scored again but Kim reloaded her
gun and shot one into the net from
the free pass circle. Good passing
from Jessica and Lori McKay set
Kim up for a natural hat -trick that
gave Seaforth a 3-2 lead at the end
of the first. Half -way through the
second, London tied the game at 3 assisted by Jessica Finlayson and

A special thanks to the team's
coaches, Teresa Finlayson, Sueanne
Van Miltenburg and Joanne
Flanagan, for their great coaching
skills.
The Seaforth Novice TF Ringette
team travelled to St. Mary's on
Sunday, February 13 for exhibition
play.
St. Marys started the scoring in
the first minute of play but Seaforth
managed to keep the game close.
St. Marys had a 3-1 lead at the end
of the half thanks to terrific
goaltending by Laura Devereaux.
Seaforth allowed two more goals in
the second half but simply put, did
not get any breaks around St.
Marys net. Many good scoring
opportunities were shattered by St.
Mary's excellent goaltending and
defense. However, the Seaforth girls
never quit and battled on until the
final buizer.
Seaforth's lone goal was scored
by Angela Eckert assisted by Kayla
Flanagan. Great checking and
skating by other team members
Amanda Van Miltenburg, Rand'
Lynn Wilson, Nicole Kistner, Kim

Brette Dietz, Monica Eckert, Mary
Finlayson and Erin Van Dooren.
