KNIGHTS - WEBB
Jonathan and Colleen were united
in marriage on August 14, 1993 at
Knox United Church by Rev. Yeon
Wha Kim of Kenora, Ont.
Jonathan is the son of James and
Joanne Knights of Egmondville,
Ontario.
Colleen is the daughter of Gordon
and Dianne Webb of Fort Frances,
Ontario.
Maid of Honour was Rhonda
Pettigrew, friend of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Janice Sparkman
and Ashley Peterson, cousins of the
bride. Flowergirl was Chelsea
Jackson, cousin of the bride.
Bestman was Jeffery Knights,
brother of the groom. Groomsmen
were Jason Knights brother of the
groom, Gordon Webb brother of the
bride. Ushers were Jeremy Miller
and Paul Menary, friends of the
groom.
The couple are residing in
Kenora.
J Recreation Preview

Program offers Kids Crafts
The Seaforth Recreation Depart-
ment will be hosting Kids Craft on
some Saturday mornings in Febru-
ary and March. This Craft Class
will be instructed by Susan Half-
penny from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
at the Seaforth and District Com-
munity Centres, for children ages 8
to 12 years old. In February crafts
will be held on Feb. 12 and lib.

some Valentine Crafts. We ask that
everyone pre -register. Pre -Registra-
tion is a must so we know how
much supplies to get. Please call
the Recreation Office to register or

The Basketball Camp for children
in elementary grades will begin
Feb. 28, 1994. This camp will be
held from Monday to Thursday for
two weeks, with a league to follow
in April. Keep watching the Huron
Expositor for more details.
Senior Shuffleboard continues
every Wednesday afternoon from
1:30 to 4:00 pm. All seniors are
welcome to enjoy an afternoon of
fun and fellowship. You may also
come out and enjoy a game of
Carpet Bowling, Cards or Table

Orioles stay on
top of Cubs

The Orioles held on to a two-
point lead in the St. James Bowling
League, with a 5-2 victory over the
Indians on Monday, Jan. 24.
Top bowlers for the Orioles were
Rick Elliott 260-655 and Betty
Johnston 217-561. George Love
with 254,295-733, and Gord Murray
206-513, were high for the Indians.
The Cubs kept pace with a 5-2
win over the Tigers. Don Nolan
with 207,239,290-736, Bob
Dinsmore 200,263-656, and Kevin
Johnston 211,202-596, paced the
second place Cubs attack. High
bowlers, for the Tigers were Martin
Andreassi 235,213,211-659, Jack
Ryan 202-530, and Pat Nolan 238-
485.
In the final game of the night it
was the Braves edging the Rockies
4-3. Gerry Nobel led the Braves
with 239,248-685, Mark Higenell
260,209-641, and Karen Hbegy
236-536. For the Rockies, it was
Murray Bennewies 270,260,262-792
and Tim Brown 260,255-688.

Seniors brave
icy streets for
Friday bowling
Thirty-three Seniors braved the
icy streets on Friday for Seniors
Alley Bowling. Ann Wood had high
single of 212 for the ladies and
triple of 479. Shirley Strong also
bowled well over her average with
a 185 game and 462 average. For
the men John Van Loon had high
single of 219 and triple of 568 to
help his team the Chevies take
seven points on John Aubin's Olds.
Neil Hodgert of the Chevies also
bowled one of his better games of
the season. On lanes 1 and 2
Charlie Perkins Buicks also took
seven point on Campbell Wey's
Toyotas, while Ron Bennett's
Ford's won five points to the
Chryslers two.
High pin fall for the day went to
the Chevy team with 2698. Team
standings now are: Chevies - 20
points; Fords - 18 points; Chryslers
- 14 points; Buicks - 13 points;
Olds - 10 points; Toyotas - 9
points. Good bowling all.
Lawn bowlers
host euchre
The Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club
hosted a euchre at the Orange Hall
on Tuesday evening, Jan. 25 at 8
p.m. Eight tables of cards were in
play and Ladies high went to Mary
McCall; Ladies lone hands - Velma
Preszcator; Ladies Consolation -
Edith McMillan; Mens high -
Gordon Murray; Mens Ione hands -
Robert Argyle; Mens Consolation -
Oliver Pryce. The next euchre will
be at the Orange hall Feb. 22 at 8
p.m. Hostess for the evening will be
Rika Van Bakel, Corrie Klaver, and
Thelma Pryce. The club hopes for a
good turnout at the February
euchre.
Happy Birthday was sung to
Alive Papple and Oliver Pryce who
had celebrated birthdays the day
before. Thanks again to Bob
McMillan who had shovelled the
snow at the hall. Sony to report
Sandy Pepper has been confined to
hospital this past week.
