Residents remember
"good old winters"
The residents of Seaforth Manor
Nursing Home have been busy
during this past wintry week by
remembering the "good old winters
of long ago" when being snowed in
for a few days was a common event
and not the rare occurrence it is
now. Memories of horse-drawn
sleigh rides, home -churned butter,
home -baked bread and warming up
by the kitchen cook -stove brought
smiles to many folks faces. Seaforth
Manors Ladies' club is busy knit-
ting and crocheting. Thanks to Mrs.
Freda Lyons for her generous dona-
tion of yarn to the group.
The "Morning in Motion" group
enjoys reading the Huron Expositor,
especially the "Years Agone" every
Wednesday morning, followed by a
few limbering -up exercises. Resi-
dents also exercise vocal chords by
singing a few hymns in preparation

Thanks to Florence Carter who
played music.
The Seaforth Nursery School
arrived Friday morning to warm the
hearts of residents with their songs
and dances. They also celebrated
Mass with Fr. Henry. Thanks go to
Mary Elizabeth Kreutweiser for
accompanying the hymns. Everyone
at the Manor is keeping their fin-
gers crossed that the groundhog will
predict a swift end to winter
weather.
