MURRAY CORMAN
Murray Clifford Corman, 51, of
Waterloo, died Saturday, January
15, 1994 at his residence.
Born in Stratford, he was a son of
Florence (Oswald) Corman and the
late Murray A. Conran.
He was manager of printing and
mail services at Wilfred Laurier
University, Waterloo for 16 years.
He was a longstanding member
and past president of the Conestogo
Club of Printing House Craftsmen
and a member of St. Michael's
Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, the forgler
Patricia Manley; children Suzanne,
Robert and wife Holly (Schultz),
Robert and Laurie and a
granddaughter Ashley; his mother
Florence; a brother Paul of
Thomasburg; a sister, Mildred and
her husband Paul Doerr of
Ingersoll; his father-in-law Joe
Manley of Stratford; sisters-in-law,
Marie and husband Francis Hicknell
of Seaforth, Ruth and husband
Werner Marx of British Columbia
and brother-in-law Keith and
Jocelyn Manley of Stratford.
Friends were received at the
Edward R. Good Funeral Home,
171 King St. S. Waterloo. Mass of
Christian burial was held at St.
Michael's Roman Catholic Church,
Waterloo on Wednesday, January
19, 1994 at 10 a.m. Father Ronald
Voisin officiated. Burial was in
,Parkview Cemetery Waterloo.
Pallbearers were friends Bob
Reichard, Bruce Gibson and Sam
Ogilvie, nephews Joe, John and
Stephen Hicknell.
As expression of sympathy,
donations may be made to the Heart
and Stroke Foundation of Ontario
or Kidney Foundation.

Ethel Haist, of Seaforth, on Mon-
day, January 24, 1994 at Stratford
General Hospital in her 86th year.
Ethel Avery, wife of the late Elton
(Jake) Haist and dear mother of
Betty Kittar of Seaforth and Bill
and his wife Lucy of New Bruns-
wick. Loved grandmother of Marie
Henderson and Paul Braun. Also
survived by six great-grandchildren.

Corrine Cooper.
The Legion Charter was draped,
in memory of the late Hilda Smale,
who will be sadly missed by mem-
bers.

poinsettas at Christmas. Auxiliary
members donated two hours of ice
time, at December meeting, towards
free skating, at arena.
A donation was made towards
Huron Adult Day Care Centre at
Huronview.
A Penny Sale is to be held his
year again in May, draw to be on

William John Ross McNichol
passed away at Queensway Nursing
Home, Hensall, on Sunday, January
23, 1994. Mr. William John Ross
McNichol, formerly of Hensall,
died in his 79th year. Beloved
husband of the late Viola Ethel
(Dolmage) McNichol (1969). Dear
father of Ruth Ann and her husband
Donald Smale of Hensall, Barb and
her husband Marcel Duquette of
Calgary and Janice and her husband
Bob Baker of Stratford. Dear
brother of George and his wife
Eileen of London and Miss Annie
McNichol of Seaforth. Predceased
by four brothers, Andrew, Duncan,
Orville, and Lorne. Also surviving
are seven grand children, four great
grandchildren and several nieces
and nephews. Visitation was held
on Tuesday, January 25 from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. in the Hensall Chapel,
120 King St. Hensall where the
funeral and committal services will
be conducted on Wednesday,
January 26 (today) at 2 p.m. with
Rev. Henry Annen officiating.
Spring interment in Maitlandbank
Cemetery, Seaforth. As expressions

WM. CARTER KERSLAKE
Mr. Wm. Carter Kerslake of 66
Waterloo St, Mitchell passed away
at Hillside Nursing Home, RR 5
Stratford on Sunday, January 23,
1994 in his 82nd year. He was bom
in Hibben Township on February
27, 1912, a son of the late Walton
Kerslake and the former Margaret
Ballantyne. On October 22, 1941,
he was married to the former Grace
Hamilton McLachlan who
predeceased him on October 8,
1993. Following their marriage, the
couple farmed at lot 20, concession
8 of Hibbert Township until their
retirement to Mitchell in 1984. He
was a member of Cromarty
Presbyterian Church where he
served as an elder.
He is survived by a son Craig
Kerslake and his wife Peggy of RR
2 Staffs, two daughters Joyce
Vivian and her husband George of
Mitchell and Brenda Kerslake
Thompson and her husband James
of Seaforth, twelve grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was
predeceased by a brother Everard
Kerslake.
Friends were received at the
Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell
where a private family service will
be held on Wednesday January 26,
1994 (today) with Rev. Lucie Milne
officiating. Spring interment will be
in Staffa Cemetery.
MARION McCAUGHEY
Mrs. Marion McCaughey of 190
Coulton Dr., Mitchell passed away
suddenly at her residence on
Saturday, January 22, 1994 in her
78th year. She was the former
Marion Janet Drake and was born
at Staffs on January 1, 1917, a
daughter of the late Kenneth Drake
and the former Janet McKellar. On
August 18, 1943, she was married
to Robert J. McCaughey who
predeceased her on August 27,
1990. Mrs. McCaughey had resided
in the Staffs area until moving to
Mitchell where she attended Main
Street United Church. She was a
Life Member of the Staffa W.I. and
attended the Adult Day Centre. She
is survivied by three sons Harry
McCaughey of Fergus, Hugh
McCaughey of Mitchell and Fred
McCaughey and his wife Barb of
RR 2 Staffa; one daughter Isabel
Elliott and her husband Larry of RR
2 Staffa; two sisters Muriel Miller
(twin) and Isabel Kerslake, both of
Exeter. Also surviving are eight
grandchildren and two great
grandsons. Friends were received at
the Lockhart Funeral Home,
Mitchell where a private family
service was held on Tuesday
January 25, 1994 with Rev. Dr. Phil
Johnson officiating. Spring
interment will be .in Staffa
Cemetery.
