Seaforth
Legion
- by Barbara Scott
Anniversary party
The Royal Canadian Legion
Seaforth Branch 156 hopes every-
one enjoyed New Years Eve. A
capacity crowd was at the Legion
Dinner and Dance. From all
accounts it was a very big success.
Good food, music and lots of fun
including a surprise Piper from
Calgary. Thanks go to everyone
who helped make this such an
outstanding success.
On New Year's Day the annual
Levee was held. It was not well -
attended but it was a pleasant time
for those who did attend, including
Mayor Hazel Hildebrand.
The Ladies' Auxiliary will be
holding a Sunday Dinner for the
Public on Sunday, Jan. 16. Ladies'
Auxiliary members should keep in
mind that desserts and help would
be appreciated.
On Jan. 29 at the Goderich
Legion a Party is being held for the
50th Wedding Anniversary of
Evelyn and Howard Carroll, well-
known to all in the Legion.
All the usual weekly activities at
the Branch will be underway again.
To all the Snow birds, you cer-
tainly chose a good year to go
south. We are having a good
oldfashioned winter. Happy New
Year to everyone.
President Ann Wood, Ladies'
Auxiliary, would like to wish every-
one a very Happy and Prosperous
New Year.
