The Shriners Hospitals for
Children changes lives through
innovative pediatric care, world-
class research and outstanding
medical education.
The donations that were
raised throughout the year by
the clubs and units under the
Mocha Shriners banner assist
with funding services for fami-
lies as well as research and edu-
cation in the Shriners 1 iospitals.
Chosen for the Spring Cere-
monial 2017, the town of Goder-
ich hosted a variety of events the
last weekend, from a Friday
night 'Fish Fry; to a donations
ceremony and from welcoming
new candidates to a parade Sun-
day afternoon.
The Shriners in attendance
were accompanied by their
wives and families, and repre-
sentatives from the Shriner Hos-
pitals were also in attendance
last weekend.
They celebrated the new can-
didates to units and clubs under
the Mocha banner and the
donations that will be presented
to the Shriners Hospital for Chil-
dren Canada in Montreal.

those who have passed away
since the last official gathering.
Shrine Temples under the
Mocha banner presented their
donations to the Potentate on
Saturday morning during the
official meeting. These dona-
tions are the result of all the hard
work and fundraising the units
and clubs have done since the
last official event.
"This year's Spring Ceremonial
saw 25 candidates initiated into
the Shrine and just over $300, 000
donated by the clubs and units,"
explained Dan Lampman, Mocha
Shrine Public Relations.

will go to our main philan-
thropy, Shriners Hospital for
Children Canada, in Montreal.
This is considered a successful
Spring Ceremonial."
