He then looked down upon this Earth and saw your tired face, He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest, God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. Donna Murrary Obituaries Obituaries Obituaries JOHNSTON, Don - Suddenly, at his home in Qualicum Beach, B.C., on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Donald George Johnston, in his 67th year. Dear father of Steve (Karen) and Denise Johnston of Goderich. Grandfather of Tyler and Hailey Johnston and Jordyn Sole. Survived by his father Harold Johnston of Clinton, sisters Bonnie (Garth) Sheldon, Bev Fraser -Whalen, Tanya (Duane Kalbfleisch) Johnston and several half and step- siblings. He will be missed by best friend Paul Dare of Goderich former in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother John and several nephews. Don was a former employee of Champion Motor Graders, starting on the production floor in the late 1960's. He later became Union President of IAM & AW LL 1863 (now LL 1975) and then transitioned into the management side of the business as Human Resources Manager. Don enjoyed many years coaching with Goderich Minor Hockey, Ringette and Baseball. Don also served as President of Goderich Minor Hockey. Don left the Goderich area in the late 1980's, living in Kitchener -Waterloo and Hamilton, Ont before setting out to Vancouver Island in the early 1990's. At Don's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Life will be held at Joe Friday's, Courthouse Square, Goderich on Saturday, May 13th, from 2 - 5 PM. Rest Home in Zurich, Ontario on May 2, 2017. Prior to moving to Zurich in 2015 Irene lived in Goderich, Ontario for 8 years and Edmonton, Alberta for over 55 years. Irene is survived and sadly missed by her daughter Sharia and son-in-law Bill Wiesener and their children Russell (Debbie) Wiesener, Dreanne (Todd) Covey and Lynness (Roger) Sjogren; and by her son John and daughter-in-law Doreen Sutherland and their children Jennifer (Don) Woodall and David (Kati) Sutherland. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her husband Ben in 1994 and her sister Edith Summers and her brothers Jack Haise and Ken Haise. Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Irene's final resting place will be beside her beloved. husband Ben at the University of Alberta Department of Anatomy Cairn at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Edmonton. She was born in Goderich, Ontario on June 24, 1952. Greatly missed by her .children Rob Woods of Dungannon, Shawn (Kim) Woods of St. Augustine and Angela Woods of London, grandchildren Andrew (Nikki), Hayley (Justin) and Karley (Owen) and great grandchildren Cassidy & Logan. Also survived by her mother Mary Schultz of Goderich, and sisters Bonnie (John) Gibbings of Clinton and Debbie (Kervin) Rourke of Goderich. Predeceased by her father Gordon Schultz and infant brother Douglas Gordon Schultz. A private family service was held at the MacKENZIE & McCREATH FUNERAL HOME, Lucknow.
