Dennis. Hull To Highlight WOAA 75th
The Host Organizing
Committee of the Dia-
mond Jubilee 75th anni-
versary of the Western
Ontario Athletic Associa-
tion (WOAA) has
announced that Dennis
Hull, alumnus of the Chi-
cago Black Hawks of the
NHL and a member of the
historic Team Canada '72
Summit Series, is con-
firmed as a guest speaker
for the celebratory dinner.
Gary Gravett, chair of the
anniversary organizing
committee, is optimistic
about the event, saying:
"The WOAA anniversary
will be historic and memo-
rable. It will certainly be
fun with Dennis Hull, who
many consider the most
beloved story -teller in the
hockey fraternity,
head -lining as guest
speaker for the dinner. His
wit and sense of humor will
have our alumni, guests
and fans re -telling his tall -
tales for years to come."
Hull, born in Point Anne,
Ontario on Nov. 19, 1944, is
renowned for having had a
tremendously heavy and
hard hockey shot from his
left wing position. During
his four-year junior career
with the St. Catharines Tee-
pees / Blackhawks (1960-
64), he potted 48 goals in
his graduating year. The fol-
lowing season he success-
fully joined the parent Chi-
cago Black Hawks. In the
ensuing 13 years, Hull
scored 303 goals and 654
points.
