Born March 20, 1929, to Thomas Roy Patterson and Grace Irene (Thomas). Much loved by his family, he is survived by sister Lucille, and was predeceased by sister Pauline (Quinlan) and brother. Ron. Peter succeeded his father as Huron County Engineer, soon after earning his degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto, at the age of 22. He carried on the tradition of excellence in Huron County's highway system, and also designed, and oversaw the construction of the Auburn bridge, which is dedicated to his father. Subsequently, he spent 30 years in the service of the Ontario Department of Highways, and its successors, before retiring to his birthplace. Peter was a devoted and enthusiastic member of the Devil's Glen Country Club, from its founding until he was felled by the stroke. A strong adherent to traditional values, Peter will be remembered by those who love him as one unafraid to express his views, and resolute in upholding them himself. Respecting his wishes, the family will gather for a private memorial at a later date. Pay your respects... on your/ifr moments.ca
