to assist others. Maintenance of confidentiality and integrity of information is
critical to the successful completion of all duties.
Qualifications: Community College Diploma in business or office

MANAGER OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES
The Municipality of Bluewater has an opening for a
motivated and skilled professional to oversee and administer
the outsourced environmental operations for water, sewers,
landfill and utilities. The Manager of Municipal Services is
responsible for the long rangetanning development,
financial management and leadership of environmental
services and all large infrastructure projects. The Manager will
liaise with engineers, contracted operators and agencies.
Additionally under the direction of the CAO, the position will
execute corporate projects and analysis as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post secondary education or equivalent in
Engineering/Environmental Science, Engineering
Technology
• Experience and Certification in managing environmen
tal programs/operations in the water and wastewater
field, including supervisory experience.
• Project management experience, demonstrated ability
to understand and work with current technology
(procurement process, financial controls, life -cycle
costing, activity -based costing, and fleet management)
• Expenence includes 3 - 5 years employment in water
and wastewater field oruivalent environmental field,
working knowledge of ISO, safety legislation,
knowledge of relevant codes and regulations governing
environmental operations
• Superior oral, written, presentation and reporting
communication skills with proven ability to prepare
technical reports and explain/present information
clearly and concisely
• Proficiency in regulatory legislation thorough
knowledge of the_provisions of the bccu ational Health
and Safety Act, Ontario Safe Drinking Water Act
• Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software
applications and proficiency in word processing,
spreadsheet, database and presentation software is
essential
• Demonstrated leadership ability to coordinate, plan,
implement and evaluate programs
• Valid Class "G" drivers license with an acceptable
abstract is required.
