Good morning, after-
noon or evening. I trust
everyone has had a
good holiday and we
can all now start wish-
ing for spring to get here early. A lofty
thought you might say but. Wiarton
Willy day is ' just around the corner
from here, so anything is possible.
Now lets pour our tea shall we and -dip
in.
Once again we at the Bauer house-
hold have had a wonderful Christmas
season with blessings too many to
count. •We started our season with our
traditional family hay ride a few days
before Christmas. My entire family
including' my four sisters and their
families all gathered for a day of merry
making and Christmas celebration. We
roamed the streets of our village on a
horse-drawn wagon singing Christmas
carols and spreading good cheer to all
those with courage enough to some see
us: Back at the house we savored the
best food you could find anywhereand
plenty of it. We missed those who
couldn't be with .us and look forward
to seeing them all back for what I
declare will be our 31st annual Bartley
Christmas.
Our Christmas day included too
much turkey and I will confess to at
least one too many cookies. We spent
Christmas morning at son Steven and
Monica's home in Clinton where we
all enjoyed the surprises Santa left for
granddaughter Myrah and stockings
stuffed to overflowing for the rest of
us as well. We finished up at our house

the platter come dinner
time. It was a day filled
with family, fun and food.
It was great.
New Year's Eve found us home
entertaining young Myrah until safely
past the magical midnight hour. Then
with the new year only three days old,
Wayne ani I along with sister Adele
and Mike Drennan of Goderich took a
day trip north to the Bruce where we
had a great visit with our Aunt Annie
and cousin Janie.
On Sunday ourselves, along with son
Jeffrey and daughter Leah were once
again entertained at Steven and
Monica's as we celebrated both
Myrah's birthday as well as my own.
Myrah turns six on Wed. and I turn
"not six" on Tue. Thanks everyone,
lots of fun as always.
We are back into our routine .come
this week which for me means a visit
to our local library in Goderich and
time well spent with fellow scribes.
Our small but very talented group,

Monday from 1:00 P.M until 3:00 P.M.
where we encourage and ' support 'fel-
low
fellow writers, with solid critiquing skills
and where fearless creativity, pockets
of inspiration and even flashes of bril-
