On Jan 31st of a former well-kjnown
resident 'ad Lucan, in the person of
Hili,' James Sceli, who had reached
the greatage of 83 years. He was
lsarn in •Quebec, and resided in and
near "c Lucan until last fall ,when he
came to London to stay with his son-
1nr-law, Mr.- Harry Smith; Five sons
and .:four 'daughters : survive, besides
his wile, who is ,a sister of Mr. John

Hospital, London, last week far fur-
ther treatment, and possibly another
operation.

turned fram a two months' visit with
