HOUSE BURNED. -The dwelling
owner: and occupied by Mr. A. Will-

from an overheated stove pipe in the

POPULATION OF HURON. -Mr,
Wet. Lane, County Clerk, has very
kindly furnished us with the follow-
ing statement of the population of the
several municipalities of the. County of
Huron. as taken from the assessment
rolls for' 1913, It will be seen from
the figures given that the lass for
the year amounted for 464. Of this
number the rural nutnicipalities suf-
Eerec, most severely, the decrease a-
mounting to 427, while the urban nun-
icipalities the lass was oniy 38. The
following are the figures for each
