EASTER SERVICES, --Tine Easter Ser-
vices ran tho Preabyterialn churchere

mons by the pastor; Rev, Sharp, " were
appropriate to the 'occasion, while. the
music by the choir, assisted by Mie. L.
C. Fleming and Prot Wn1 Brown. of
Galt was a'very ploas.ng feature." - The
anthems were well chosen, and well -ren-
dered. The solos by Mr. Flemming and
Miss "Iifnsma.aa, and the orgali seleetrons
by Prof, Brown were well received. On
Monday evening an organ recital and
sacred concert was gii'en and was thor-
oughly appreciated. Solos were sung .by
Mr. Fleming, a duet by IP:asea Moncur
and Follicle, a -trio by Messrs. Senior,

nania and hd F1ema1'I; ; a quartette by
Mesas. Senior, Ken'xman, 'Gillies and
Christie; instrumentals by Prof', Brown
and anthems by the choir. Tho attend-
ance was not as lame as the affair de-
served. To the choir Ieader, Mr Senior,
is due much` of the credit for', the success
of these Easter services.
SUDDEN DEATH.—The sudden death
took place on Sunday afterntoon at the
home of Mr. Peter Case, Osborne, of his
sister, Mrs. ;Robert ROS of Byron. Mr.
and Mrs. Reiss had corn! up td spend{ the.
holidays, Mr. Ross returning Saturday
morning. Deceased ;had been,6;n. her us-
ual health at breakfast Enc and shortly
after went outsLde, and while in the act
of placing a piece of board across a
wet spot' site apparently sustained a
stroke of paralysis. She was able, how-
ever, to reaoh the house and reports what
had happened. She comnpia:ined of severe
Pain, X11 the head and shortly afterward
passed into a state of coinptose, '" from
which she did not recover, passing away
about 'tour o'clloclr,:n,tlhe afternoon. Be-
sides the husband she ds"survived by her
mother, who is nearly: 90 years of age,
two sisters and fot7<Y brothers, Mrs: Th
McTaggart of Exeter, Mrs. ` G. Moir
a Virden, Man., Dr. Thos. Case of
Dungannon, George of Hemsaii, :Adam
of Toronto, and Peter, of Usborne. The
funeral ".took place to tho Exeter cema-
tery on Wednesday afternoon.
