The yard is completely filled. ---It is with regret that we learn of the death of Mrs Spikett (nee Miss Lizzie McPhee.) The deceased was a daughter of Mr. Jonathan McPhee and was well and widely knowie having resided here all her life until a few years ago when she married Mr. Spikett, of Detroit About a year ago her health failed and on Wednesday death relieved her suffer- ings. Her remains were brought to Parkhill on Friday and on Saturday yore followed from her father's resi- dence to Mt. Carmel cemetery by a large number' of sorrowing friends, The sympathies of the community are tendered to the bereaved family. Mr. Moodie takes possession some time next fall A sad and melancholy death happened about one mile and a half north of this village late Saturday morning. Mr. Walter Gardiner a highly respected and weleknown resident of this neigh- borhood, dropped dead while in the act of rising out of bed. Heart trouble is supposed to have been the cause of his sudden demise, of which dee.eased had been a victim for a number of years. Deceased had arrived at the age of 61 years.
