Fluent now in five languages and accomplished at the piano, upright bass and accordion as well as the Paraguayan harp, Eduard shares his music and Christian message around the world. He has given 3,000 concerts, both large and small, to people in 20 countries. Now based in Stratford. The loudest harp in the world, this folk harp is made of thin cedar and pine with strings for only five octaves. The sound emanates from both the strings and the wider wood. The harp began as his hobby instrument and became his concert instrument. Eduard plays with a lively Spanish style typical of his enthusiasm for life and thankfulness for the gifts of God. Eduard encourages his listeners to recognize that they live in the most wonderful country in the world and to show joy in the love of God through their lives. He played many familiar Christian tunes such as, The Old Rugged Cross, There Is Power in the Blood and Because He Lives as well as some Spanish numbers. Recorded background music gave the impression of listening to a full orchestra at times. He noted that he always plays Amazing Grace during his concerts and that evening offered it at the end of what was a special hour of music. www.thecentreforemploymentandlearning.ca Get a flu shot! By Heather Crawford Citizen staff Huron East fire chief Marty Bedard presented council at the Oct. 18 council meeting with a report on tiered response information. Bedard attended a meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 5 between Huron County EMS and the fire departments. Currently, if any fire department has a tiered response agreement, it is with Central Ambulance Communication Centre (CACC) in London or Cambridge. As of Jan. 1, 2006 it is hoped these agreements will go through each county, the report said. It is also hoped to stop the unnecessary call- .outs the fire department periodically receives from CACC because of Knight urges council to set up committee By Heather Crawford Citizen staff Huron East council was urged to establish a Huron East/Heritage Conservation Advisory Committee. In a report from treasurer finance manager, Brad Knight presented to council at the Oct. 18 meeting, Knight explained that at the present time there is no functioning committee. The Seaforth heritage trust fund was established by bylaw 22-1985, which authorized an agreement between Seaforth and the province whereby Seaforth contributed $5,00 to the fund and the province contributed $10,000. The fund had three components: to provide loans for the purchase and conservation of heritage property; guarantee loans for the purchase and/or conservation of heritage property; and to provide grants to owners of designated property for the conservation of that property. Several months ago, the report Continued on page 12 how their guidelines read. The recommended agreement would include multi-casualty incidents where local resources would be overwhelmed; hazardous materials incidents (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) involving casualties and/or potential for casualties; and natural disasters resulting in such occurrences as building collapse. This agreement would be a two- way arrangement whereby if the public safety is in jeopardy, then the resources would be responded. If EMS were at a multi-car incident, then fire and police would be called in to assist and if there was a major fire, then police and EMS would be involved. a 'fTimi^ypu Thank You .^/zaZ ^4zzThank You Thank You .2UZ y™ Thank Yon . z?zzaZ ^1 Health Care Heroes MILLION DOLLAR 4 o o > Our Heartfelt Thanks for "Opening four Heart" to help make Radiothon 2005 such a success.
