On Tuesday the fed teers and heifers sold $ l higher on a elective trade. Choice steers and teifers sold $91 to $97 with sales to >104.50. Second-cut steers and teifers sold $87 to $91. The cows >old on a steady market. On Thursday the veal sold on a strong active trade with prices up $2 o $3 higher than last week. The ambs traded at steady prices on a strong demand. On Friday all weights and classes of Stockers sold tn a strong active trade. There were 636 steers on offer. Lloyd Vivian, Mitchell, consigned ane gold steer weighing 1,335 lbs. which sold to Holly Park Meat Packers for $104.50. His overall offering of three steers averaged 1.353 lbs. selling for an average price of $97.62. Twenty-one steers consigned by Jim Howatt, Londesborough. averaged 1,487 lbs. which sold for an average price of $97.15 with his top black steer weighing 1,340 lbs. selling to Highland Packers Ltd. for $101.75.
