Cranbrook residents visit the beach

The Goderich beach was a
drawing card for Cranbrook and area
residents this past weekend.
On Friday evening Joe and Barb
Terpstra held a family outing there.
On Sunday about 50 people attended
the 67th McTaggart Reunion at St.
Christopher Beach.
Also having a family gathering
there on Sunday were Allan Knight
and his sons James. David and
Michael, his brother Keith and
Linda Sylvan and Donna Marie
Dube.
Don and Marlene Fischer went for
a motorboat ride with Debbie and
Ken VanBeek on Lake Huron Friday
afternoon. They left Goderich going
north to Port Albert, overshot their
mark and ran out of gas on the way
back. They are thankful for the coast
guard that came to their rescue.
Barry and Faith Bellamy from
Lakefield were weekend guests of
Leslie and Yvonne Knight
Rick Knight was given the most
valuable player award in a ball
tournament in Richmond Hill on the
weekend. He pitched two games on
Sunday with his team winning l-0
and 4-3.
Joe and Barb Terpstra attended the
penning competition at Paul and
Jacquie Gowing’s on Saturday with
Joe and participating in the activity.
They also attended the Holstein
Rodeo on Sunday.
Keith Knight from Cornwall is
visiting with Allan Knight and
family for a few days.

of Bob and Manon Gilmar
On Sunday, July 10 the Smith
reunion was held at the home of Bill
and Doreen Taylor with 89 people
attending from far and wide. Uncle
Jim Smith of Huronlea who is 96
years old asked the blessing,
followed by a delicious buffet
dinner.
Everyone enjoyed another great
reunion.
Lorna Ryder, Ryan Ryder and
Shawn Glover of Innisfil visited on
the holiday weekend and were
guests with their mother and
grandmother. Betty Irwin.
