I were 3,748 head of cattle, 578 lambs and goats. On Tuesday the fed steers and heifers sold $2 higher. On Thursday veal sold on a steady mar- ket. Lambs sold a good active trade. Sheep and goats sold on a strong active trade. Calves sold on a steady market while yearlings sold $2 to $3 higher. On Friday the vaccination sale saw the calves and yearlings selling on a strong active trade. There were 535 steers on offer. William M. Warden Rob Morley said he was proud of where the county was situ- ated regarding ambulance service now. However, he reminded council- lors that they need to continue work- ing on settling issues with neigh- bouring municipalities. Director of land amublance servic- es David Lew said that since the beginning of the year, most of the cross-border billing issues have been cleared. Chief administrative officer Larry Adams said that the county had been the net receiver in the overall scheme regarding cross-border billing, and it is important that set- tlements get started. "We are the net gainer over the long-term. It's not nearly what we had hoped for but we are working with our neighbours and will continue to."
