After a fast clean up of the floor, chairs were set up for the Sunday night dance. Everything was ready by 5:30 p.m. and by 6 p.m. the first dancers arrived. The John Heaman band always draws a large crowd. Over 100 enjoyed his music on this evening. The winners of the October early bird membership draw for their dues was Nancy Ducharme. Comrade Greg Wilson reports that approximately 50 per cent of the Branch membership has paid their dues for 2007 and he hopes the other 50 per cent will soon be in to pay at the early bird price of $45. This Saturday will be Remembrance Day services at the Branch. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the laying of wreaths, followed by the Act of Remembrance at 11 a.m. The church service will follow at Melville Presbyterian Church at 11:15 a.m. Those returning to the Branch following the church service are invited to stay for a donation lunch.
