Bayshore Broadcasting Corporation of Owen Sound has applied to the CRTC for approval to build a new FM Radio Station serving Goderich, Bayfield, Grand Bend and communities along Ontario's West Coast. Knox hosts Christmas home tour The Auburn Knox United Church is hosting a Christmas tour on Friday, Nov. 17 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 18 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. There is sure to be something for everyone with three homes, two churches and a rustic log cabin all adorned with decorations for the upcoming season. Those willing to share their homes Eight members of the Walkerburn Club met at the home of Deanna Snell on Oct. 16. Bernice Norman was' in charge of the meeting and opened with a reading One Room School, followed by a Thanksgiving Prayer. Il a Cunningham gave the treasurer's report. Betty Archambault read the minutes of the last meeting and the roll call was answered with recipes for supper dishes. The next meeting will be held on Nov. 13, at the home of Friends around the area were saddened to .hear of the passing of Ann Jarvis, Tuesday, Oct. 24 at her home in Bolton. The funeral service was held on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Bolton. Ann was a former French immersion teacher at St. Mary's School in Goderich and was well known to many students, friends and co-workers living in around the Goderich, Auburn area. She leaves behind her husband Richard, three children and seven grandchildren. for the church project are Gordon and Bernice Gross, who will be having All Around The House of Goderich decorating two rooms. Bernice will be taking care of the rest of the house herself. Ethel Ball and son Daryl, will have their beautiful home turned into a picture-book perfect wonderland in formal tradition, using floral Christena Gross and Gun McLean will be in charge of lunch and Vera Penfound will be on program. Roll call will be recipes for salads. It was moved by Mrs. Penfound and seconded by Eileen McClinchey that they make donations to the Clinton, Goderich and Wingham hospitals and that next meeting they are to bring donations for the Christmas Bureau and money will be taken from funds on hand for the Salvation designs. Helping with the Ball home is Ruth Huston of London and Sharon Fendley of Stratford. Along with their home Daryl promises to have ready the Ball Cemetery Church in an elegant and somewhat rustic fashion with help from the Sunday school children. He even promises to have the pathway lit with candles. Army. Mrs. Cunningham played the piano, while the rest sang some old- time songs. Two members had a dance. Jacquie McKee had donated a large bag of yarn from one of her friends. This was sold to Club members. Mrs. Snell served lunch and a social half hour was enjoyed before everyone went home. The Londesborough manse will be among those homes to be toured. I understand they will have non- professional help and there will be a different theme for each room. Bill and Maxine Seers will open their log cabin for folks coming to see the sights. This is a second location without the luxury of hydro to assist in the decorations, Ball's Church being the first. Help for the Seers will come from Carol Reinink, of Sunset Springs Greenhouse near Walton. The Knox Church in Auburn is last but not least on the list of places to see next weekend. The church will also be serving refreshments Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. The tickets are only $10 per person and available at the post office or from any Knox Church board member.
