DELORES LORENZ
Mrs. Delores Lorenz, 86, of
Brussels passed away suddenly at
her residence on Monday, Aug. 14,
2006.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Donald Fisher, who predeceased
her in 1977 and Ken Lorenz who
passed away in 1991. She was the
dear mother of Randy Fisher
(Brenda), Lance Fisher (Joyce),
A fall lecture series will be the
first step undertaken by the 20
members of the Goderich Co-op
Gallery to extend its offerings
`beyond the artist'.
The effort will reach out to the art-
loving community. Three illustrated
talks are being devised for
presentation beginning in
September.
The first event, Sept. 13 will
feature well-known and
longstanding Michigan
watercolourist. Robert Fionda,
whose theme will be Feeding the
Artist Within.
"I want to consider how those who
want to express themselves
creatively can sustain and develop
these energies in a society that is
often toxic to the arts. Whether we
are beginners or long-term experts, it
is essential to sustain our energy for
Carol Fisher, Valerie Siegfried
(Don), Joyene Fisher, Rosemary
Ballentyne (Don) and Larry Fisher
and loving grandmother of three
grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren. Mrs. Lorenz was
predeceased by her parents Arthur
and Annie (Washburn) Noll.
Friends were received at the
Lockhart Funeral Home, 109
Montreal St., Mitchell on
growth," Fionda says.
The Oct. 11 presentation will
feature local surgeon-turned-artist, J.
Mike Watts, a long term student of
art history, with a slide show,
designed to help participants look at
a few selected, well-known works
by the Great Master painters. One
eminent painting, to be presented,
will be The Last Supper, by
Leonardo da Vinci.
The Nov. 15 event will share
architect John Rutledge's perception
of Yard Art. His presentation will
resurrect images from the book, Folk
Art Of Huron County, a 1991 review
of contemporary, historical and
immovable art treasures in many
nearby locations.
The series begins at 7:30 pm, Sept.
13, at the Co-op Gallery, 54
Courthouse Square, Goderich. The
nominal admission charge will be $5
Wednesday 7 - 9 p.m. where the
funeral service was held on
Thursday at 11 a.m. with ReV. Peter
Bush officiating.
Interment was in Wingham
Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Cancer
Society or Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated.
On-line condolences may be made

per event, and will include a gallery
tour at 7:15 p.m. and refreshments
following the presentation.
The second presentation, also at
7:30 p.m., will open with a second
gallery tout and browsing at 7:15
p.m. The November presentation is
also at the same times.
One additional undertaking will
establish a network of associate
members or Friends of the GCG.
This activity will allow subscribers
to access updates about special
gallery presentations by feature
