Seaforth GRADUATION 2006
`Whatever happened to all those years since kindergarten?'
By Michelle Hewitt
Wow! It's hard
to believe that this
was my last year
of elementary
school. It seems
like just yesterday
I was starting my
first year at
Seaforth Public,
and now I'm
standing in front
of all of you. celebrating my last.
Whatever happened to all those
years between kindergarten and
Grade 8? Where did they go?
It's crazy how fast time flies, and
how much you miss it when it's
gone. Although, I couldn't ask for
better people to graduate into high
school with. Every graduate sitting
behind me, is a great person, and
have made my years here nothing
less than amazing, and I thank them
very much for that.
Which is why I'm going to take
the time to say a little something
about every one of the girls,
something that I will always
remember about them. Then my
fellow valedictorian, Brandon, will
cover the boys.
I will always remember Robyn for
her enthusiastic hellos and the way
she's always smiling, and Lindsay
will always be remembered by me as
the as the country girl and a great
friend. Emily Lansink and Alison,
the dynamic duo, the "Hollywood
sisters", they're always together, and
of course, always looking good.
Emily Hildebrand is always the
first one to say hello in the morning,
and is one of the most friendly
people I have ever met. Brittney,
would probably marry music if she
could, she's destined for a career on
stage.
Then there's Jody. You never have
to worry about missing an episode of
the Simpsons with her around, she
always. knows what happened.
Along with any other show.
Chelsea will always be
remembered as 'the gossip queen'
and for making the saying 'blondes
have more fun' more real than it ever
has been. Then there's Jamie, the
only Harry Potter/reading enthusiast
I know. She's always found with a
good book, and a smile on her face.
Danielle, she may be tiny, but her
personality definitely isn't. Alex and
Jessica may be twins - but they
definitely aren't alike. Alex is the
quiet, but shy one and Jessica's high
pitch laugh can be heard from miles
away.
Ash ley will always be
remembered as the klutzy one, but
also for the way she can laugh about
her klutziness afterwards. Sammy
and Rachel, another set of twins, but
once again - nothing alike. Sammy
is a guitar player and a very outgoing
person, and Rachel is great at sports,
and could take the athletic world by
storm.
Kelsi will always be remembered
for her crazy giggle fits, and her
great 'your momma jokes'. Last but
not least, there's Nicole, the
competitive, outspoken girl, that
everybody can't get enough of.
But, not only my classmates
helped make my elementary years as
great as they ,have been. If it weren't
for our teachers, attending Seaforth
Public wouldn't have been the same.
They've helped all of us in more
ways than one, from teaching us
simple math equations and grammar,
to life lessons, like following the
rules, learning from your mistakes,
and accepting the consequences that
come with your actions. They taught
us all of this and still managed to
have a little bit of fun while they
were at it. Like the endless 'your
mamma' jokes in Mr. V's classroom,
and the trip to Camp Celtic with
Mrs. Reynolds.
Over the years, I may not have
shared all of the same teachers as my
classmates, but I know I speak for
everyone, when I say thank you. We
wouldn't be where we are, and the
people we are, if it hadn't been for
our teachers, and everything they did
for us.
Tonight, we say goodbye to this
building, the teachers, and even
some of our friends. Some of us
going into different high schools, or
put into separate classes, among new
people, but I know that everyone
here will always have that one
memory of everyone, just like I do.
So there you have it, my
valedictorian speech. Here's to the
class of 2006, and all of the great
adventures that lie ahead of us.

Fellow grad-
uates, teachers,
parents, families
and guests, It's an
honour and a
privilege to stand
before you.
First, I want to
thank the teachers, parents and all
the others who have given of their
time and gone the extra mile so we
can be at this point in our lives. Like
the family tree, soon we will be
branching off. Some of us will go off
together and others will go in a
different direction, but either way we
will always have the memories we
shared at Seaforth Public School.
I'm here to tell you a little bit
about the boys that are graduating
from Grade 8.
Chris always looks on the bright
side of things and has a very big
heart. Luke makes us laugh all the
time and is always flirting with the
girls. Taylor B, he's a ladies' man
and has some pretty sweet dance
moves that nobody can compete
with. David is competitive, good at
playing soccer and has lots of jokes.
Gavin is very smart, athletic, a good
soccer player and has a great three-
point shot in basketball.
Josh, you have the funniest laugh
ever. Do you remember when the
dummy fell out of the tree at Camp
Sylvan and scared us both?
Leen is athletic, and one of the
best soccer player in our school.
He's very trustworthy and always
has a smile on his face.
Tyler G is humorous, friendly,
happy and has a great laugh,
especially when he doesn't know
what's going on. Rock on Tyler,
Rock on!
Jesse my first friend in Seaforth.
He's very good at biking and he's
usually the person to make you
laugh. Recently, he has taken up the
bass guitar and is really good at it.
Kody is very energetic, an
excellent swimmer and has a really
awesome flipshot in broomball.
Donald always seems to be the one
to get injured, but he always keeps
his wits about him and I've never
seen him cry once.
Conlan is very funny. He's very
good at sprinting and can kick a
soccer ball really far.
Brent is strong. Probably the next
