Blyth GRADUATION 2006 Grade Ss gather for one final time at graduation By Hannah Uyl Whether it's been 10 years or just 10 months, together we have grown. We've laughed, we've cried and through it all we've become closer. Tonight we've come together as a group for one last time. We are all now moving on to new schools, setting new goals, will be meeting new people and trying new things. Parents, friends, staff, students and fellow graduates, we did it, and we're here to night to reward and celebrate the achievements of Blyth Public School's graduating class of 2006. Through growth spurts, curves and cracking voices, looking through pictures' where I don't even recognize myself, but we've grown so much more than just physically. More noticeable changes have occurred thanks to our years at Blyth Public School. No matter where we go, or who we become, we will never forget those who helped us get there. One goes to school to learn and be taught. One needs an environment where success is the goal and flexibility is the key. On behalf of the grads of 2006, I would first like to thank all the staff who helped us along the way. Thank you teachers, for sticking by and supporting us in all we do. We've learned so much, but not just by the words you speak and the curriculum you teach by, but by being the diverse group of people that you are. By using your strengths and admitting your weaknesses you have helped us grow to learn that nobody is perfect and that your personal best is the best you can do. Teaching is more than just a job, it's a way of the life and you live it well. You can't walk by the office without seeing the friendly smile and jolly laugh of Mrs. Watt, remembering that a little magic spray makes everything all better. Ms Morton, the one who keeps us in line but always takes time out of her busy day to stop and ask us how we are doing. There is one who tried to make a peacemaker out of us all and just so happens to be a wealth of knowledge when it comes to math. Mrs. Cronin introduced us to the Gauss math test, which could have been stressful; if it wasn't for her friendly reminders that it was suppose to be fun. Mrs. Nivens always made us feel comfortable sharing our opinions after she shared hers, making our little talks about big issues at break always a favourite. We are always encouraged to use our "imaginations" and "creative minds" but somehow it always seemed that they finally flickered on after the recess bell rang. Creating games like Rated R„ which soon became rated 'not school appropriate', and the tree game, later adapted by the girls to be the bench game was more fun than playing soccer or basketball. We learned many valuable lessons as a class, in Grade 1 we all learned a little bit about love, when Laura and Colton fell madly head over heals for each other. After being formally united in marriage, they were presented with an anniversary cake to mark an occasion we won't soon forget. In Grade 3 we all learned how convincing confidence can he. when Maaike had us all tricked into believing she was a witch and with one wrong move we would become frogs. Individuality was a fun thing to learn and teach at Blyth Public School, from hair-dos to the odd make-up attack, we had fun teaching Continued on eettsmatutatiette etatio, of 2006! Best Wishes .
