Grey's 150th a celebration from start to finish
It was a celebration of history as residents, past and present of Grey Twp. along
with folks from neighbouring communities converged this weekend to celebrate the
township's 150th anniversary. Clockwise from top right: Mady Deitner, left, and
Tanya Bedard test out the sumo wrestlers' outfits at the Children's Fun Fair on
Saturday; they were stepping lively at the old municipal office Friday evening with
local entertainment at the talent show; this parade entry said it all; Saturday's
parade entries were piped into Ethel by the Brussels Legion Pipe Band;
competitors had the opportunity to try their hand at some old-fashioned
entertainment with games like log-sawing, done here by, from left: Ken Purvis,
Gary Boyer and Brad Clark; a horse-drawn wagon carried the Morris-Turnberry
representatives along the parade route.
