Campvention's opening ceremonies were held on the evening of Saturday July 8. Sunday night the master of ceremonies for the North Huron talent night was John Stewart. Prior to his recent retirement from the post of clerk-administrator for North Huron, Stewart had spent many hours preparing for Campvention. At the beginning of the evening, North Huron's current clerk- administrator, Kriss Snell, was given a document making the township an honourary member of Camp- vention.
