This is a time when all women around the world gather to pray for their sisters. This year the women of South Africa prepared the worship service and a short film. This film told of the history, the injustice, HIV/AIDS and how they were trying to make a better life. The theme Signs of The Times was illustrated by leaves. These leaves are a sign of hope and joy. The source of hope and joy is the risen Lord who gives the courage to go forward. Women all over the world are dealing with the same problems and praying for solutions and help. As a world-wide worshipping group the women here added their prayers. Gloria Dow, Betty Ross, Freda Scott, Muriel Coultes, Laura Johnston, Vaughn Hunking, Rev. Ethel Miner Claire and Pat Hunking assisted in making this a meaningful worship of prayer. As the woman who poured the ointment over Jesus' head is remembered for her deed to Jesus.
