The Citizen, 2006-03-16, Page 2By Betty Graber Watson Call 887-6236 887-9231 Well dust off your Irish duds, you'll need them ready for Friday. Once a year that little bit of Irish in us rises to the surface and comes out our toes. So be ready for the wearing of the green and a little bit of spontaneous dancing on March 17. March break has begun; rather it's in progress. You can just feel the extra energy as the school crowd enjoys their free time. Too early for spring stuff, too late for the winter things that are now old. It's now officially time just to have fun. I'm sure in lots of homes sleepovers are part of the plans. So get your fun hats out Grandma and Grandpa for the grandkids are coming. It's such fun to do things with the grandchildren that do not have parental approval. That in itself makes up for all the days as a parent you didn't think you were cut out for this job. So enjoy the time and be sure to do all the fun stuff. Skating is done for another year on the world's longest skating rink — the Rideau Canal in Ottawa. I've lost the paper that reported the number of St. John Ambulance 'V Aid with CPR starting Monday, March 27th at Brussels Fire Hall Contact 887-9231 Betty to register skaters this year but 850,000 is the number I seem to recall. Now that's a lot of skate blades. Don't forget to thank the farmers in our midst for feeding us. As we reflect on the blessings in our lives we need to be active in our gratitude for by their living we are well fed. Stop now and see what you can do to help. As we say goodbye to the blizzards of winter, hopefully, I have one last thank you to the Brussels street cleaners. Each one of you is a joy to watch each snowy morning. It's like a well-staged dance. The snow is moved into rows by the plows and blowers, the rows are lined up on the street, the trucks are blown full and are whisked away to Corporation of the Municipality of Huron East NOTICE OF BUDGET MEETING Pursuant to Section 291 Municipal Act. 2001 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Huron East will be considering the 2006 Budget, including budgets of any Committees or Boards of, or associated with the Municipality, along with Council Remuneration, with intention to adopt and/or amend said budgets at a Public Meeting scheduled for the following date and time: TUESDAY, MARCH 21ST, 2006 AT 7:15 P.M. in Council Chambers, Town of Seaforth 72 Main Street South, Seaforth 519-527-0160 J.R.
