Well done Hullett Central Public School participated in the 19th annual Timbits Provincial Elementary School Curling Championships in Niagara Falls over the weekend of Feb. 23-25. Although the team did not advance, all the players displayed good curling and sportsmanship skills under the direction of coach Julie Falconer. (Photo submitted) Blyth Tyke teams battle it out A leg up Wyatt Bearss of the Blyth Skating Club competed in the Central Invitational Futures Unlimited competition held in Goderich during the weekend. More than 500 young skaters performed solo routines during the two-day competition at the Maitland Recreation Centre. (Signal Star photo) Tina Ropp is in her sixth year of skating for the Brussels Figure Skating Club. She was coached by Faye MacDonald and has achieved her Gold skills and is working on her gold Dance and Free Skate. She had been a member of the Wingham synchronized skating club for two years, which was coached by Michelle Blake. Ropp loved synchronized skating and as she was going to attend college in London, she decided to try • out for the London synchronized skating team, Synchronicity. She made the team and has been skating at various competitions this winter including skating in Celebration On Ice in Guelph. She got to meet stars like Elvis Stojko and Kurt Browning. Folks win at Ethel euchre The Ethel euchre was held on Monday, Feb. 27.
