The hosts took control early
scoring mid-way into the period.
Also a force to be reckoned with,
however, Blyth came back to tie it
just over a minute later. Shelsie

looked as if neither team was able to
bust through the defence. Then at the
4:37 mark, Embro increased their
lead to two, then seconds later added
another to bring the score to 4-1.
It was an unsettling few minutes
early in the third when Embro
managed to sneak three quick goals
by Blyth's goalie Kennan
MacDonald.
The visitors couldn't seem to find
the weak spot until Alex Peters went
in unassisted to give Blyth its second
goal with just under two minutes
remaining in play. Then with 15
seconds on the clock, Ryan Nesbitt
assisted VanWyk on his second and
the game's final goal.

As in the previous game, Embro
struck first with a late first-period
goal.
It was back and forth in the second
until the final four minutes when
Peters skated in alone to tie.
The hosts were unable to get any
more by the Embro netminder, but
managed as well to keep their
visitors at bay for most of the third
period. Then with just minutes left in
the game, Embro netted the tie-
breaker, then shortly after added
some insurance to seal the victory.
Blyth must win game three, which
will be held March 9 in Blyth, to
