Well that should teach us to heed
the weatherperson. They said the
snow was coming and it did, in a
very impressive way. The depth of
the snow was determined by the way
the wind blew and we have several
very impressive spots at our place,
using shape, amount and size of the
drifts we have several that are
photoworthy.
The fellows on the snowplows and
blowers were hard at work on
Sunday moving the heavy masses
which had accumulated. Most of the
rest of us took a look of wonder
outside and decided to stay put.
There's nothing like a good
snowsquall to remind you that life is
full of choices.
As the winter continues, it is
sometimes difficult to keep active.
There is a group in our village that
invite you to get active with them.

The back room has undergone a
makeover this past week, thanks to
the efforts of Sandra Josling, Jo-Ann
McDonald, Catrina Josling, Cecil
Moore, Judy Lee and Eric Ross. The
walls were all washed and painted a
new pale blue and grey. The steel
blue trim really sets off the room.
The ceiling panels were taken down

Monday and Wednesday mornings
from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Then on Tuesday and Thursday
mornings from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. you

walking shoes to the Community
Centre. This kind of walking is safe
and enjoyable no matter the weather.
So take this as your personal
invitation to join the get physical

weather gave us a holiday on
Sunday so take this as your reminder
that the annual meeting is this
Sunday and to bring finger foods for
a shared lunch prior to the meeting.
Hope to see you there.
Mark your calendar now for the
World Day of Prayer service. This is
a service with a very impressive
history. Each year women from a
different country prepare the
service, this year offered from South
Africa, and it is held simultaneously
around the world on the first Friday
of March.
This year we are invited to the
Mennonite Church at 7:30 p.m. on
March 3. Hope to see you there.

Comrades are needed to help out on
committees.
The Youth program has three
different facets. The first is the
poster, essay and poem competition
for Remembrance Day. It begins
with the distribution of materials and
guidelines to the two area schools in
October. The collectino, of the
entries, judging of the entnes and the
return and presentation of the awards
to the students.
The second facet is the public
speaking event. Again, guidelines
are delivered to the school and the
