Students and teachers at Grey Central Public School

Listowel and District Secondary School’s chamber choir,
After Eight, a triple trio of girls, and the junior triple trio. The
groups sang familiar Christmas pieces, including some in

Greeting at Duff’s United Church
for the fourth Sunday of Advent
were Murray and Olene Dennis.
Olene also handed out the UCW
2004 programs. More are available
at the church.
The Christmas Eve service is at 7
p.m. at Duff’s United. All are
welcome to attend. On Sunday, Dec.
28, the Walton youth choir under the
direction of Brian Black, will
present The Little Red Wagon
musical for the service. Families are
encouraged to bring their children
for this special musical event.
Board members are asked to
attend a short meeting at 9 a.m., Dec.
28, prior to service. Annual reports
are due by Dec. 31 with the annual
meeting on Jan. 24.
The Advent wreath candle of love
was lit and presented by Murray and
Olene Dennis.
The congregation enjoyed the
musical gift of Keith Wilbee on the
saxophone accompanied by Glenda
Morrison at the piano for the song
Star of the East.
The scripture reading was
presented by Jennifer McClure.

The monologue was presented by
Gloria Wilbee as the angel that made
the visit to the shepherds to deliver
the news that Jesus would be bom in
Bethlehem. What started as fear with
the appearance of the angel, would
end with praise for the heavenly
hosts.
The news that God’s love was for
everyone was proven by Jesus’s
simple beginnings of His birth in a
manger.
God’s love and joy would abound
and none shall be afraid of God's
love.
As the offering was being taken by
John Gillis, Ron McCallum and
Kevin Wilbee, the band provided
Christmas music. The band included
Brian Black, Graeme Craig, Gloria
Wilbee on guitar; Pearl McCallum,
mouth organ; Marion Godkin,
trumpet; Phyllis Mitchell, violin;
Marie McGavin, piano; Glenda
Morrison, organ. The band was

people from the Walton/Seaforth
area. Reporting a good time were

Travelling to London on Sunday
were Murray and Olene Dennis.
They were off to daughter Peggy and
John’s home to celebrate
granddaughter Natalie’s birthday,
along with sister Adrienne.
The McClure families gathered at
the Kinburn Hall on Sunday to
celebrate Christmas. Around 50
gathered. They enjoyed dinner at
12:30 p.m. then spent the afternoon
playing games and visiting.
Neil and Marie McGavin attended
the funeral of Wilma (Billie)
McGavin last week in Guelph.
Celebrating a birthday last week
was not Evelyn Gulutzen. Hers is
still coming. Sorry for the confusion.
There were still lots of people
celebrating birthdays though. Happy

Blake, Stephanie Rijkhoff, Adam
Shortreed, Stephen Bernard,
