sung as the children gathered at the
front of the church for the Sunday
school pageant. Those taking part

Rev. Eugen Bannerman had two
world church news items and drew
everyone's attention to the
announcements. The UCW is
making an autograph quilt for the
150th anniversary next October and
the history and archival committee
are compiling a 150th anniversary
cookbook.
The last carol, Let There Be Peace
on Earth was sung.

North Huron council gave its
support at the Dec. 15 meeting to
Crime Stoppers signage.
Const. Stephen Beasley of Crime
Stoppers and board member Gold
Grant attended the meeting to
explain the program.
Grant said the organization had
embarked on the “ambitious
program" this year. The idea is to get
signage throughout the county that
will get the message and phone
number of Crime Stoppers out into
the community.
“It’s a pretty aggressive
approach.’
There will be three different sizes
of signs.
County has given it support, said
Grant, adding that now each
municipality was being asked for the
same. What they are looking for. he
said, is support in principle,
