They discussed going to the
Saugeen Valley Conservation
Authority’s Christmas in the
Country for the next meeting.
Each member is that much closer
to being ready for the holiday season
as each took home some Christmas
cookies and ajar of biscuit mix and
cookie mix.
Meeting four was held on
Saturday, Nov. 29. Roll call was

They reviewed the 4-H books for
any completion questions, then
began to make decorative hats using
yarn and cardboard rolls. The
finished hats could be used tor
decorations, ornaments, or gifts.

story titled. The Cat in the Manger
and it really tied into the Christmas
sentiment.
There was also a video on Macular
Degeneration. which is a
deterioration of eyesight. Some of
the causes can be from smoking, dry
eyes and is more prominent with
those who have

For those who suffer from dry
eyes, it’s recommended to contact
their optometrist to check and
maybe prevent this degeneration.
If you belong to a seniors’ club ask
your president regarding this video
as it’s being circulated in the area.
The Bible study club was held at
Teresa Roetcisoender’s place last
Tuesday, Dec. 9. The Bible study
club will be at Goderich Place to
sing carols to the residents.

Six members of the Walkerburn
Club, plus a guest went to Restview'
Nursing Home in Clinton on
Thursday for a carol-sing and a

the crib quilt Rhyme Time which
they donated to the Quilt for Cancer
Auction sold for $I00. Members are
very pleased with the result and
pleased that they could help out such

The combined meetings two and
three of the Wawanosh Elves was
held at June Robinson’s on Nov. 21.
Everyone was in attendance, and
they started the meeting by saying
the pledge, and answering the roll
calls which were “What is your
favourite holiday recipe and why?”
and “What is your favourite holiday
candy recipe?”
Each member was to bring a
cookie recipe and the ingredients to
make them. Tina’s was chocolate
chips, Ellen’s was gingerbread.
Reba’s was chocolate spiders, and
Sophie’s was cran raisin cookies.
They diwded into pairs and mixed
up and bailed the cookies.
While the cookies were baking,
they painted gift jars. Designs
included stars, snowflakes,
snowmen, trees and wreaths. Each
member then filled a jar with cheese
