McCallums greet at Duff’s United
Congregation members were
greeted by Paul and Dianne
McCallum on the second Sunday of
Advent at Duff’s United Church.
The Advent reading and candle of
Peace was read and lit by Monique
and Ryan Baan. The children were
called forward along with anyone
with white gift donations. These
were placed beneath the Christmas
tree.
The children were asked if they
have made lists in preparation for
Christmas.
The senior choir gifted the
congregation with the song Twas In
The Moon of Wintertime. Elise
Ringennberg read the scripture
reading.
The monologue was given by
Karen Hoegy dressed as an angel
speaking and visiting with Joseph.
He was to take Mary as his wife
even though she was with child. It
was the Child of God she was to
name him Jesus. How difficult for
Joseph to understand but yet the
angel made him believe.
During the offering, the musical
talents of many choir members were
demonstrated. Guitars were played
by Jim Cook, Brian Black and
Graeme Craig. Marion Godkin on
the horn, Pearl McCallum on mouth
organ, pianist Marie McGavin and
