There were six tables of euchre in
play at the Women’s Institute Hall on
Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Winners were: high lady, Mary
Taylor; second high lady, Louise
Bosman; most lone hands, Lois
Chamney; high man, Dennis Leddy;
second high man, Ross Taylor; most
lone hands. Allan Edgar.
The next euchre is Wednesday,
Dec. 10 at 8 p.m.

About 50 Campbell relatives
celebrated Christmas on Sunday.
Dec 7 at the Belgrave Women’s
Institute HaL. Gordon Campbell and
Maureen Treige of St. Catharines
were the hosts for 2003. After
Gordon welcomed everyone, Nancy
Jardin said the grace. A potluck
dinner was enjoyed by all.
The children were delighted as
Santa arrived later on in the
afternoon and handed out gifts. Time
was spent socializing as well as
looking at photos.
Glen and Dorothy Coultes have a
new little Aussie granddaughter.
Victoria Taylor Coultes was born to
Steve and Nicole on Dec. 8 in a
Melbourne hospital. Australia. She
joins big sister Katherine in the
Coultes family.
Congratulations are extended
from the community to Steve and
Nicole and Glen and Dorothy.

WMS gathers at home of I. Cloakey
The WMS held its meeting at the
home of Ivy Cloakey.
Alice Nicholson opened with the
Purpose which was repeated in
unison, then read a Call to Worship.
80 attend Christmas meal
The Belgrave Seniors held their
annual Christmas dinner on Friday,
Dec. 5 at noon. Over 80 people
attended the turkey dinner and
concert which followed.
Entertainment was provided by
Arnold Bruce and Alf Nichol,
followed by a reading from Alice
Putting on a show
In lieu of a Christmas concert this year, Sacred Heart
School students performed for an Advent Celebration

The hymn Hark the Herald Angels
Sing was read. Mrs. Nicholson led in
prayer.
The service in the Glad Tidings
was used with Mrs. Nicholson and
Nicholson.
John Roberts sang Christmas
songs. Ross Anderson, Lome
Campbell, Donna Shaw and Freda
Johnston led a sing-song of
Christmas favourites, then draws for
prizes were made.
Hakkers catering was thanked and
Margaret Siertsema taking the
readings. Scriptures from Luke 2,
Matthew 2, Isaiah 9 and Micah 6
were read by Mrs. Cloakey. While
Shepherds Watched their Flocks was
president Muriel Coultes closed the
meeting.
A time of fellowship and best
wishes followed.
