After the children’s hymn, Hope

and the kings of the Magi used the
stars to find Jesus, today sailors can
travel using the North Star.
“Stars are symbols of hope in
decorating for Christmas,” Rev.
Campbell said.
With Maurice Dourna assisting
Rev. Campbell, the scripture

Directions, asked if people follow
directions blindly as they would
follow the stars. Scientists have
given predictions as to climate
change, economics, meteors, and
other phenomena that may happen
in future.
When Jesus talks of signs he is
sure there’s a new life coming for
all, said Rev. Campbell.
As people consider the
predictions of each new year, they
wonder the future in a scary world
of wars, disease and other troubles.
They have the choice of looking
forward with hope or of living with
despair.
“Everyone in the world is worthy
of Jesus’s love and redemption.”
said Rev. Campbell. “We must not
let it defeat us.”
During the collection. Janna
Dodds sang Ave Father Let Me Be
Yours Alone.
The offering was gathered by

Jeff Cardiff and Maurice Douma.

Donuts galore
It was pick-up day at St. John’s Anglican Church in
