From Marilyn’s Desk By Marilyn Craig Call 523-9318 The 125th autograph quilt has found a home. If you are interested in seeing it, the quilt is hanging in the Memorial Hall along with the older quilt made some years ago. This is a part of the history of Blyth. You can compare the families from the older quilt to the names that are on the 125th anniversary quilt. You can spend hours looking at autograph quilts. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY. NOVEMBER 26, 2003. PAGE 3. Holy, Lord God Almighty. For the children's story. Rev. Eugen Bannerman had a picture of Jesus knocking at the door. He asked the children what they saw in the picture. He had many answers, one was the light around Jesus and one was there is no door latch on the door Jesus could not open the door from the outside. The meaning of this by the artist was that we have to let Jesus come into our house or heart by opening the door for him. The dramatized lectionary reading was from John 18: 33-37, those taking part were Wyatt Bearss, Amelia Carter-Brown and Rachelle Ducharme. Rev. Bannerman’s message to the adults was Potpourri of Spiritual miscellany. He gave 11 suggestions for a healthy spiritual life. Some of FROM BLYTH Giving Members of the Blyth Pathfinders went shopping recently to fill a shoebox. Through Operation Christmas Child, shoeboxes are distributed to needy children. The Pathfinders selected a 10-14-year-old girl as recipient and filled the box with among other things, necessities and friendship necklaces made by the girls. The box is being donated by Trinity Anglican Church in Blyth. Making some wise shopping choices, are, from left: Guider Darlene, Pathfinder Meghan and Guider Shari.
