The euchre tournament will be held at the Auburn Community Hall on Nov. 28 with proceeds going to the Auburn 150th Celebration. The entry fee is $5. Bring your partner. The Silver Tops Christmas dinner will be held Dec. 5 at Maxine and Bill Seers’s. At Knox United Church. Rev. Pat Cook’s message w&> New Life. The scriptual reading was from Mark 13: 1-8. (Photo submitted) FROM AUBURN Doctor to speak at Blvth I). Snell hosts Club Deanna Snell welcomed the Walkerburn Club members to her home on Nov. 12. She opened the meeting with information on Remembrance Day and the poppy. She followed this by reading hi Flanders Fields and prayer. The minutes of the last meeting were read by Betty Archambault, followed by roll call of a favourite childhood memory. These treasurer’s report was given by Bernice Norman. Everyone handed in their donations for the Children’s Christmas Bureau. The club members will be going to Restview Nursing Home in Clinton on Dec. 4 to sing Christmas carols. There was also a discussion about gifts for the residents who have no family. These gifts be taken with the club to the carol sing. The next meeting will be a quilting meeting al Ila Cunningham’s sometime in January. Vera Penfound will be in charge of lunch and Deanna Snell will be on program. A lively auction sale of items donated by members was held. It was an excellent sale, and all proceeds will go to the Salvation Army. Lunch was served by Bernice Norman and the hostess, followed by a social time. In his promotional material, Wallach promises that participants will gain a “clear understanding of the importance of the 90 essential nutrients and how the 60 essential minerals affect body and health.” It’s a science Students in the Grade 8 class at Hullett Central Public School got some hands-on education last week with their involvement in Science Now.
