Stereo system stolen from unlocked ear in Walton On Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. OPP were called to a residence on Humphrey Street in Walton part of Huron East over a theft from a vehicle. Sometime during the night a blue 1987 GMC Vandura, left unlocked, was entered and a Legacy CD car stereo system was stolen. Please call the Huron OPP or Crime Stoppers with any tips. OPP seek help in finding Cecilia Crime Stoppers needs your help to bring Cecilia Zhang safely home. Toronto Crime Stoppers has asked the Crime Stoppers programs throughout North America to issue special appeals to media outlets for help in publishing any information about the kidnapping of the nine- year-old Asian girl who was abducted from her home on Oct. 20. Senior Const. Stephen Beasley, police co-ordinator of Crime Stopper of Huron Inc., said all tips (to Crime Stoppers) are deemed significant until proven otherwise. He also said Canada’s Crime Stoppers programs are being requested to disseminate background information and details of Cecilia’s abduction, along with photographs of the little girl and urge media outlets to provide as much publicity as possible to the case. Detective Jeff Zammit, co ordinator of Toronto’s Crime Stoppers program said they need all the help they can get. “Someone, somewhere knows something. We need all the help we can get to bring Cecilia safely home,” said Zammit. The report states. Cecilia was abducted through the night when the suspect or suspects climbed through a window at the rear of the Zhang home * and grabbed Cecilia as she was sleeping. Two phone calls were made to the house just before the girl’s mother called 911 at *8:27 a.m., but police have not released any details other than saying no ransom demand was made. Her parents Sherry Xu and Raymond Zhang, have issued tearful pleas for Cecilia’s safe return home. “As a father, I beg you, I beg you, please look at Cecilia’s face. Look at her eyes. What an innocent and lovely girl she is. Please, please don’t harm her. Let her go,” Raymond said. Cecilia is four feet and 11 inches tall, 70 pounds with a thin build, shoulder-length black hair with blond highlights and brown eyes. “The tip that brings Cecilia home could come from anywhere. We need the eyes and ears of everyone looking for this girl,” said Beas ley.
