Team Wawanosh wound up the 4- H club A Sporting Chance with a visit to the North Huron Community Complex fitness centre for the achievement program. They were given a tour of the facilities by Adam Ryan, a personal trainer. He gave them a map of the centre and told how the various machines were laid out in the order that you might do a workout. The intensity of the workout increased with the increase of the number on the machine. First warm up on one of the treadmills, stationary bikes or cross trainer machines. Next proceed through machines of your choice, following the numbers on the map. The machines are labelled with instructions on how to use them and which muscles they target. There are also exercises to do using the free weights. After the tour members were allowed some free time on the machines. Pound Foolish Healthwise Carrying extra weight is hard on your body.
