Robbery in Brussels
Thieves stole about $15,000 in small tools and a 2002
green Chevy Silverado from MDL Doors in Brussels last
Thursday morning. Police enter through one of the possible
doors the robbers may have broken into and search for any
evidence leading to suspects. (Elyse DeBruyn photo)

Many Ethelonians celebrated
birthdays and anniversaries this past
week. These include Garett Pfeiler,
Michael Schott, Wendy Clark and
Bob and Olive Cunningham. Mr.
and Mrs. Cunningham celebrated 50
years of marriage.
This week has been relatively
interesting as candidates are out
pounding the pavement and getting
to know where Ethel is. Hopefully
Yummm
we will see many community
members out on Wednesday evening
at the Ethel Hall for the all
candidates meeting.
For those unaware of the meeting,
I apologize on behalf of the young
female teenager who can be seen in
the morning ripping notices off the
mailbox, most recently, the all
candidates meeting notice. We have
so few ways of communicating
coming events here in Ethel and
notices for church dinners, meetings,
showers, etc are quite visible there.
(And at the very least, perhaps she
could throw the notices in the trash
rather than on the ground.)
Anyway, hope to see as many
concerned and informed community
members at the hall on Wednesday
as possible.
Have a great week!

They would prepare it similar to
