(NC) — If you're older, your
children have grown and you
have already built up substantial
equity in your home, you may_
want to free up capital by
downsizing. Moving into a
smaller, less expensive home will
provide additional cash for
investment or retirement living
expenses. •

We have said farewell to 21st
Century "Boumatic business in
Walton. They have moved to their
new facility over by Listowel and we
wish them the best in their new place.
The ground has been levelled
where the house was moved from last
week. You would never know a
house had been there. Ryan's
Construction cleaned up the lot quite
nicely.
Have you been by Family
Paradise? The old dance hall has
been receiving a major facelift. New
siding, windows, doors. It's looking
very nice. Known for its great dance
floor, maybe a new era for dancing
will begin.
I'm sure all attending the Don
Messer Jubilee Show in Blyth had a
great time.
Reports from locals Leona
McDonald and Ross and Marg
Bennett was that it was an excellent
show.
Home now for a couple of weeks
from hospital is Annette Lewington.
We hope she is still on the road to
recovery and Ernie's glad to have her
home again.
Recovering from surgery are Pearl
McCallum and Margery Huether. We
hope they both come along well and
are able to enjoy this Christmas
season.
The Walton Hall board had the
privilege of serving the Vista Villa
Christmas party at the Seaforth
Curling Club on the weekend. A
bountiful meal was enjoyed by
almost 50 and the work was
accomplished by Judy, Judy, Barb
and Jo-Ann.
Celebrating birthdays last week
were Shaune Stroop, Darian Fritz,
Paul Stroop, Owen Hamilton, Cheryl
Frazer, Casey Boven, Evan
Ducharme, Bob Houston, Emma
Taylor, Emma Baan,. Elsie Carter,
Tracey Eckert, Kim Kruse, Nanci
Ducharme, Bethany Black and.
Dustin Fritz.
Celebrating her third birthday with
a party was Emma Taylor. Helping
her to celebrate were great-
grandparents McLachlan,
grandparents Jack and Mary Helen
McLachlan and aunt, Susan
McLachlan.
Other relatives Carol and Gus and
friends Brett, Tracy, Caden, Chris,
and Judy Lee all enjoyed the
afternoon as well as dinner.
Having a thrill of a lifetime was
Mitchell Godkin who had the
opportunity to ride the supercross
track at SkyDome last weekend.
A KTM-sponsored event allowed
the 50 cc riders to have a chance to
ride the track during the afternoon's
events. •
Mitchell did very well in his race
and Bruce, Katrin and Lucas cheered
him on.
Attending the event also were
Chris, Brett, Matt and Cheryl Lee.
Abby McGavin's collection of 76
coats, 12 pair of snow pants and the
bagful of hats and mitts have been
delivered in Toronto. Brian and
Shelley, Brandon, Abby and Tyson
loaded up the van on Saturday and
were off for a family day together.
They delivered the donation of warm
clothing to Emmanuel Howard Park
.United Church where there is an
outreach program for homeless
people.
The McGavins then saw The Polar
Express and had a great day together
before returning home.
