We welcome Chris and Judy Lee
back from a wonderful vacation in
Cuba. They were guests at the
Sandals resort for a week and had a
fabulous time and great weather.
Home for a visit on. the weekend
were John and Marci McCall
McBain. They flew in on Friday and
had a visit with Murray and Sherry
for a couple of days before leaving
Sunday.
The KMM folks held their
Christmas party last weekend. They
met at the home of Paul and Dianne
McCallum's first, then travelled to
Arden Park in Stratford for a great
dinner. The group of 16 returned to
Paul and Dianne's for a social time
and to play pool and have fun.
Congratulations to Ron and Betty
McCallum who also became
grandparents that same night.
Daughter Janice gave birth to a big
boy. They have named him Tyler
Robert. Congrats to new parents
Janice and Rob.
It was a great night on Nov. 23
night when a full house attended the
Paul Brandt concert at Blyth
Memorial Hall.
Our party of 10 included Rick and
Jo-Ann McDonald, Lee Ann and
Kelly, Chris and Judy Lee, Mary
Bernard and Rachel, Sandra Josling
and Julie Harrison. As I looked
around the room there were many
Walton-area folks in the crowd
including Dianne, Colleen, Cindy and
Pearl McCallum, Donna and Tina
McClure, Sharon and Kellyann
Dalton, Ray and Janice Becker, Jamie
and Jolene McNichol, Val and Krista
Shortreed, Fred, Heidi and Jennifer
McClure, Don, Pat and Joel Dalton
and Michelle Blake.
All comments were what a great
show it was and wishing it could go
on. Thanks to Blyth for bringing such
a great talent to our area.
Congratulations to Heidi McClure
on her new profession. She has joined
Spa Essentials arid will be performing
pedicures and reflexology.
It was the annual Christmas concert
by the Grey Bruce Singers of which
Bruce McDonald, son, of Marilyn
McDonald is a member. Many area
residents travelled to Hanover to
enjoy the concert, including members
of Marilyn's family and Leona
McDonald.
It was a surprise for Bruno
Braecker at the Kinburn Hall on
Sunday afternoon. Family and friends
gathered to surprise him for his
birthday. A great day was had by all
who attended.
There was a small crowd at the
Walton Hall for the last roast beef
dinner of the year. Helpers included
Howard and Audrey Hackwell,
Kathleen Williamson, Ashley Halley,
Val Shortreed, Leona and Jo-Ann
MCDonald and Judy Lee.
Everyone will enjoy a. rest for
awhile.

The Sawmill Parade set for this
Saturday evening is cancelled.
The Walton Little School children
have set • up and decorated their
annual Giving Tree. This is where the
families can donate books that will be
given to different family service
,agencies within the county.
It is the hope that parents and
children will share in the joy of a
book while waiting for appointments
and in the end increase early literacy
within the county.

donations of new toys, new clothing
and financial support. The Christmas
Bureau served 1,083 children and
their families in 2003.

Cheers echoed throughout St. Anne's Catholic Secondary
School in Clinton last week as the area hosted the 'AA'
boys OFSSA volleyball championship tournament. Schools
from across Ontario including Ottawa. Odessa, St.
Catharines, Goderich and Essex, competed in the two-day
event which began on Nov. 26. Games were also played at
Goderich District Collegiate Institute and Central Huron
