Joseph was a child who did believe - and for that we have the comfort of knowing that he now has eternal life in heaven with his friend Jesus. It's hard to know where to begin to express thanks to the countless people who have come to our side during this time of shock and grief - Pastor Tim and Renee-who have been right by our sides guiding us and comforting us; our family members, friends, our church family members, Brussels Public School and the Brussels Community; to Gary and Jane McCutcheon for showing the true sense of Good Samaritans with your kindness and compassion toward those involved with the accident; to Holly and David who did all you could, our thanks and prayers are still with you; to the Goderich and Walkerton Churches who came to the aid of our Wingham Pentecostal church family to help with the funeral - we liked to call this funeral a Celebration of Life; the Brussels Cadet Corp 2967, the Gr. 8 class, Generation J.Y. and to those who spoke at the funeral--thank you for such words of encouragement and kindness about what kind of person Joseph was; to the Schimanskis-- for their kind guidance, care and empathy; to Constable Armstrong-- for leading the procession - surely Joseph was smiling as he watched down!; to those who donated to Generation J.Y. there will be a special fund in memory of Joseph to be used to assist other youth; to Diana, Cathy and Erin--for 'being there' to minister to our needs and being pillars of support. Everyone's support has been overwhelming both in tangible ways and in the fact that so many of you are praying for us. Your prayers and our prayers are being answered in that we are gaining mote strength every day. Please accept these words as we try to express our thanks for all that you have done. We love you all - John, Pauleen, Annamieka, Emily and Gramsie. 30-1 THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, JULY 29, 2004. PAGE 13.
