The Public Health Manager has responsibilities for the
effective and efficient operation of the Communicable
Diseases Team, and as a contributing member of the Health
Unit Management Team. This leadership role will require
the ability to foster a dynamic, team-based work
environment with a focus on excellence in service delivery. A
sound understanding of the programs and services offered by
the Communicable Diseases Team is required, as well as a
commitment to the goal of integrating health unit operations.
Qualifications:
• Post graduate degree in epidemiology or other related
health discipline or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
• Related experience in public health and management.
• Strong skills in leadership, resource and program planning,
innovation, communication, team building, collaboration
and critical thinking.
• Well developed organizational skills.
• Knowledge and experience with computer information
systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both
written and oral.
• Valid driver's licence and use of a vehicle.
